Ca Na Cris

Nice story behind the second project on Ibiza.

While looking for the perfect dress for my wedding, I found a perfect project in the port of Ibiza. Cristina was looking for an architect in Ibiza and I was looking for a wedding dress in Barcelona. The funny thing is that it was agreed that the work would be finished at the beginning of June, specifically the week of my wedding, so there was no time to be nervous. I had six months to organize my wedding and carry out an extensive renovation of a 188m2 ground floor with a garden right by the sea.

The renovation had to be done quickly: the family wanted to spend the summer in Ibiza. Summer with the family, taking a break from the hectic pace of everyday life to spend time with loved ones. The grandchildren were returning home from abroad, the parents were on vacation and the grandparents were able to do what they love to do most, spend quality time with their loved ones. For this reason, the focus was placed on the association to find customized spaces to share quality time with the family.

On the other hand, the project was quite a challenge. The family had a dining room cabinet and a couple of gray chairs that they wanted to be the center of the house, all the materials chosen had to harmonize with the furniture they already had, and on the other hand, they wanted a bedroom with an additional bathroom. So, it was not only a challenge in terms of form, but also in terms of color tones.

Minimalism in architecture and design, uniting the interior with the terraces as much as possible, playing with black and white and, above all, creating large spaces for relationships, these were the premises we imposed on ourselves.

On June 11, 2022, the work was completed as agreed.
